It is time for a giveaway!! So if you follow me on instagram (which I hope you do), than you know that I am a serious bath taker. This started when my Mom put together an amazing “Mom Bath” basket for me for Christmas one year. I haven’t looked back since. So when we bought our old home in 2011, the bathrooms were pretty outdated; but the upstairs bath came with a gorgeous cast iron clawfoot tub that sent me swooning. Since we finished the bathroom about a year ago, I moved all of my bathtime favorites upstairs (we have a smaller clawfoot tub in the downstairs bath). Now in full disclosure, I switch bathtime products a lot because I love to try new things. So this time, I thought I would include one lucky winner in my latest splurge, so I bought two of everything so that someone else could take an amazing bath too!!!
This giveaway will include six items: A bubble bath, a sugar scrub, a soap bar, body wash, a sea foam sponge, and lotion 🙂 View Post
MY DRESS | Ellie & June SHOES | Freebird by Steven (Sold Out) Similar Here
BAG | Ellie & June
ELLIE’S DRESS | Ellie & June
Okay… so I’ll be totally honest: When I pulled out this women’s oversized boho dress from our inventory I thought “wow, this dress is intended to fit far looser than I remembered” (recall that I hadn’t seen the clothes since March). Of course I put on Ellie’s dress and I loved it. Pink Chicken always has a great hit rate. Turns out I LOVED the oversized fit. It was comfortable, more than anything. There wasn’t any straightening it out, or feeling like it was tight in the wrong areas (worst thing ever); quiet the opposite. We headed into town and I was far too comfortable to remember that I had clothes on. I basically felt naked. Except not in a hide-yourself-as-quick-as-possible kind of way. View Post
PRINTED ROMPER | Ellie & June SHOES | Ellie & June (ON SALE!!!)
ELLIE’S DRESS | Old (But LOVE this similar Purple One) ELLIE’S HAT | Janie & Jack
Good Day my lovely friends!! I hope that you all had a wonderful weekend 🙂 So last week, I had several fall pieces come into the store that needed product photography. I’m so happy with everything that came in, and can’t wait to finish up the logistical component of the girls pieces so that we can officially offer our free spirited aesthetic to toddler girls! As of today, the store has been open for about six weeks, but I really don’t consider it fully launched until we have enough pieces to convey what our overall purpose is: thematic shopping for women and young girls. Last week, I shared our printed poncho in this post, and that was all I got to because I have two crazy toddlers and a house with perpetual laundry. Perhaps a work-life balance post is in order… I digress. View Post

These white ankle wrap flats were by FAR my favorite pick of the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale. At just under $60.00, these shoes are comfortable and super chic paired with just about every style bottom. They run true to size and fit me just like Cinderella’s glass slipper. SOLD to the Mom in the corner with a cup of coffee! I also picked off a pair of shorts, these sunglasses, and a few other odds and ends. I’m a sucker for sales, who isn’t?! Right now, Ellie & June is having 25% OFF all sandals by the way! Use promo code SANDALLOVE 🙂 View Post
I tend to get a lot of questions about my hair. There’s a lot of it. My stylist calls me Chewbacca. I’m usually asked it it’s all real (yes it is), what products I use, or how I prefer to style it. So today, I’m super excited to be sharing an interview I did with the wonderful owner of the blog Hair for Moms (and of the shop Luv Her Hair). Hair for Moms was started by a mother who is dedicated to making women feel beautiful. The shop offers hair extensions and all things accessories (hair accessories, bracelets, earrings, sunglasses, etc.) to women. She was such a tremendous joy to work with, and I can’t wait to see her new feature “Moms to Watch” on her blog take off 🙂
Here’s a sneak peak of the 10-question interview about all things hair and mompreneur advice. You can read the full interview here where I discuss what size barrel I use, how I maintain my hair overnight, how often I wash, and how having children affected my hair care routine!
What are 3 hair products you can’t live without?
I’d say mousse, a texture spray, and hairspray, in that order. For my hair, mousse is the most important thing. I put it on my whole head before blow drying. Without this step, my hair is dull and I have bad hair static. I spray a texturizing spray on the rest of my hair when it is dry, and rub it in almost like a dry shampoo. Then I style and finish it with hairspray. I use TRESemme mousse and hairspray, and a texture spray from my local salon. I suppose I should have listed a heat protective in this section, but I didn’t! Also I assume that we’re not including styling products here? Because if you’re dropping me off on a stranded island with wet hair and I have a date with Thor in an hour, I would have to take my mousse, my blow dryer, and my curling wand 🙂 View Post
