Happy Saturday guys!! So we typically wait until July to start going to the beach due to weather predictability, but my dearest friend was in town from Colorado with her sweet family, so we went to Crane Beach on the sunniest day. It was perfect. The water was still pretty cool (about 56 degrees Fahrenheit) but it was hot enough outside that it felt wonderful when you decided to take a little dip.
We visited Crane Beach in this post, but it turned out to be such a cold and windy day that we didn’t last long. This time the kids got to strip down into bathing suits, fill their little hands with soft white sand, experience the nasty taste of salt water, and see ocean for as far as they could see. I love going to Crane Beach because of its ample parking (we’ve gone to many other beaches where parking was a total nightmare), new amenities like bathrooms (thank goodness because Jackson needed a changing table on this day like NEVER before), and overall cleanliness. PLUS, the $30 fee gets you admission to the Castle Hill Estate down the road. We took some pictures here as well, but I’ll share those on another day. Also as a side note, this estate is having a Roaring 20’s/Gatsby party at the end of July… need I say more old sport?!
I got Ellie’s adorable little swim suit from Janie and Jack earlier in the year. She also has the sweetest little white floppy hat that we left at home. Both of my kids have such fair skin (obviously not from me, haha), so I prefer to keep them in hats in the sun if they’ll tolerate them. We stopped about every 30 minutes on this day to do more sunscreen. These poor kids can hardly pick up the mail without getting a sunburn.
Have a great weekend!! Oh! You can catch us on Snapchat now with username kristina_nissen 🙂 🙂 Cheers!
